WPC Information Event - overview of the vision, status and next steps

On 31st May 2023, all members and associated partners of the Wolfgang Pauli Centre for Theoretical Physics are invited to join an information event. The focus will be on the mission of the centre, the vision of the new designated spokespersons for it and on the current status and next steps from the WPC coordination office. Afterwards there is ample of time for discussion. The event will take place in a hybrid format, all information can be found on the INDICO page. We hope to welcome a large number of members and partners.

Visit of Prof. Nicola Spaldin - winner of the Hamburg Prize for Theoretical Physics 2022

Prof. Dr. Nicola Spaldin (ETH Zurich)

From 10th till 12th of May 2023, Prof. Nicola Spaldin from ETH Zurich and winner of the Hamburg Prize for Theoretical Physics 2022 visited the WPC in Hamburg. Prof. Spaldin gave a lecture on modern theory of polarization for students and postdocs on Thursday, 11th May (INDICO). Moreover, she was guest speaker in the Hamburg Photon Science Colloquium on Friday, 12th May (INDICO). Both events were very well attended and allowed interesting exchange on the latest research on material science theory.
