From January 14 to 17, 2025, Edward Witten, winner of the Hamburg Prize for Theoretical Physics 2023, returned to Hamburg to lead a WPC Masterclass on "Invitation to Black Hole Thermodynamics" - see the event website here. Visit of Nicola Spaldin - winner of the Hamburg Prize for Theoretical Physics 2022

From May 10 to 12, 2023, Nicola Spaldin, winner of the Hamburg Prize for Theoretical Physics 2022, visited the WPC in Hamburg. Prof. Spaldin gave a lecture on the modern theory of polarization for students and postdocs on Thursday, May 11 - see the event website here.
